What are all these dots and lines?
Here is an illustration of some of the notes of the G scale on the Ukulele. It’s not a very fancy drawing, but it will do.
Starting on the 4th string (in my case, I use a low G – you may have it strung with a high G string):
The video below will talk you through the fingerings and suggest ways to play the scale:
Now, as I provided with the lesson on the C scale, this video offers a repeated G and D chord for a couple of minutes, which will allow you to practice this scale. Play the video over and over – that’s what it’s for.

love your site. as you know, your thoughts, ideas on learning to play the uke can be used for most musical instruments, except the strings part. but the concepts are the same. thanks for reinforcing this for me. I have picked up the orchestral flute about 14 months ago(and a teacher, 8 months ago). I love the lesson utter nonsense (?). Just play clearly, with intent, slowly. thanks

Thank you for your comment and the compliment. Many books and videos seem to forget some important steps and assume you know what to do. My goal is to take things one step at a time and teach you that way.
